NAIDOC Week

Creative Minds Early Learning Centre has started off NAIDOC week with a fantastic educational show called ‘Our Aboriginal Ancestors and Us’.  The show educated us on the following NAIDOC themed information:

We started with an Aboriginal welcome dance for all the children to do.

We then payed respects and acknowledgement to our ancestors and original peoples of this great land. After this we immersed ourselves in the culture and explored local Aboriginal culture, words and meanings.

The show a few countries of origin from some of our newer Australians, then returns to explore some indigenous culture and to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The children even had the opportunity to engage and participate in a Dreamtime dot painting.
