The children at Creative Minds recognised World Ocean day by joining in on an interactive Ocean Life Discovery Program where they could touch and learn and be introduced to a range of interesting creatures from the ocean. The program was inspirational and was taught by qualified marine educators. They arrived with fascinating live marine animals, artefacts, games and activities. The children then had an opportunity to be ‘hands on’ interactions with a touch of science and a lot of humour, to make learning fun! Our aim is to inspire young children to take responsibility for the marine ecosystem for a lifetime.

The Live Marine Animal Interactions were a Baby Bamboo Shark, Fresh Water Turtle, Blue Linckia Seastars, Thorny Seastars, Tropical Sea Cucumber, Black Sea Cucumber and Sea Urchins.

The children also go to involve themselves in the Artefact activity station where they could find fascinating artefacts, shark jaws, odd and interesting shells, replica sea creatures and reference guides.
