Happy Waitangi Day!
Today our studios spent time learning about Waitangi Day and what it means in Aotearoa (New Zealand) 
The children enjoyed exploring Te Tiriti o Waitangi (the treaty of Waitangi) through stories, music, and creative play. We talked about the importance of working together, caring for one another, and respecting the land 
The tamariki (children) loved creating Waitangi Day art, listening to MΔori legends, and joining in with waiata (music) and movement 
There were lots of thoughtful conversations, curiosity, and smiles as they shared their ideas and experiences.
