The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) has five learning outcomes:
- Children have a strong sense of identity
- Children are connected with and contribute to their world
- Children have a strong sense of wellbeing
- Children are confident and involved learners
- Children are effective communicators
Kindergarten
We promote continuity in children’s learning and provide a foundation for a successful transition to school.
Approved kindergarten programs are designed to meet government guidelines to support children’s participation in quality early childhood education.
An approved kindergarten program is:
- Provided for children in the year before Prep (i.e. children who are 4 by 30 June in the year they start
- Provided for 15 hours a week for 40 weeks or 1 school year play based
- Delivered by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher
- Non-compulsory
Please note that Creative Minds has a government-approved kindergarten room.
